LORRIE MOORE

Lorrie Moore (Glens Falls, New York, 1957) is author of three books of relatos, Autoayuda (1985), As the same life (1990) and Birds of America (1998), and of two novels, Anagrams (1987) and The hospital of frogs (1994). Birds of America was chosen Book of the Year of 1998 by The New York Times, nominated between the best of the year by The Angeles Times and Publishers Weekly, finalist of the National Prize of the Critic, and remained several weeks in the list of books more sold; authors of it cuts of Julian Barnes chose it as one of the best books of the year, and the magazine Entertainment Weekly has selected it like one of the best 50 books of the last 25 years.
Lorrie Moore It has been awarded with the Irish Times International Prize for Literature, theOr . Henry Award, the PEN/Malamud Award and the Rea Award for the Short Story. It is member of the American Academy of Arts and Letters.
