Es licenciado en Empresariales y Ciencias Políticas y anteriormente trabajó para el Ministerio de Asuntos Exteriores de Dinamarca, para la empresa Vilstrup Research y como director de la think-tank Monday Morning. Ha escrito diversos libros e informes sobre la felicidad, el bienestar subjetivo y la calidad de vida, y da conferencias por todo el mundo.
