Escrito por David Darling

David Darling es un prolífico escritor, científico, astrónomo y músico. Estudió Física en la Universidad de Sheffield y se doctoró en Astronomía en la Universidad de Manchester. Tras conocer a la que sería su mujer, se trasladó a Estados Unidos, donde trabajó como gerente de aplicaciones de software en Cray Inc., una empresa que fabricaba de superordenadores. Darling ha sido profesor, ha dado charlas en escuelas y gestiona The Internet Encyclopedia of Science, un glosario científico que aúna tanto conceptos como biografías de científicos y científicas destacados. Es autor de múltiples artículos de divulgación y de alrededor de cincuenta libros, incluido el bestseller Equations of Eternity. Se han traducido al castellano El sorprendente libro de las rarezas matemáticas, en coautoría con Agnijo Banerjee, y Matemáticas para entender el mundo en que vivimos, que realizó en colaboración con Juan Medina Molina. Actualmente vive en Dundee, Escocia.
