Feel-good and foodie themes collide in this follow-up to The Kamogawa Food Detectives - The Times on The Restaurant of Lost Recipes

Perfect for fans of Before the Coffee Gets Cold.

If I hadnt searched for the flavours of my memories, I think I would have spent my life endlessly chasing the past . . .

Near Higashi Honganji Temple in Kyoto, the Kamogawa Diner continues to attract lost souls seeking meaning in their lives.

From the morning miso soup before heading to Kyoto for the judicial examination, to the onigiri gifted alongside cherished promises. The ginger pork that became a memory of unrequited love, to the not-too-sour chilled noodles from grandmas house. The fried chicken treated by the diners owner to the struggling baseball team, to the macaroni gratin shared with my young son for the last time.

Welcome to the diner without a sign, where a chef father and a detective daughter await.

Another delicious mystery, the fourth installment in the series! A Serving of Hope follows on from The Kamogawa Food Detectives, The Restaurant of Lost Recipes, and The Menu of Happiness.
