Cold

Detective Rebecca Watson has spent fifteen years solving other peoples murders. Today, shes testifying in her own.

When Rebecca steps into Courtroom 4B, she isnt just a homicide detective — shes the only witness to a night that shattered her family twenty years ago. Her mother, Anna Watson, sits at the defense table, serene and calculating, accused of killing Rebeccas father in a crime that was buried under silence, omissions, and a federal file that never quite made sense.

Rebecca remembers the shotgun blasts. She remembers the hallway light flickering. She remembers her mother standing still while blood crept across the floor.

But memory is a battleground — and the defense knows it.

As Rebecca takes the stand, old trauma resurfaces with surgical precision. A single word — contamination — cracks open a truth she never fully understood. Her mothers attorneys push, prod, and dismantle her childhood recollections, hinting at a deeper conspiracy threaded through the original investigation. And somewhere in the shadows of her past lies a sealed federal summary her late husband once warned her about… one she dismissed until now.

The courtroom becomes a pressure chamber. The past becomes evidence. And Rebecca must decide whether the truth shes sworn to tell is the truth shes ready to face.

Cold is a razor‑sharp psychological crime thriller about memory, manipulation, and the dangerous legacy of family secrets. In a battle between a detectives training and a daughters trauma, Rebecca Watson must confront the one case she never wanted to reopen — the night her mother stopped being her mother.
