HighKeep - The Founding

HighKeep: Book Two — The Fall and the Founding - A post-apocalyptic thriller for fans of dystopian science fiction

Before the world broke, Levi Carter built a dream.

Three years before The Sick swept across the country, before HighKeep became the last refuge in the valley, Levi stood on a sun‑washed hilltop and set the first stone of a keep he couldnt yet explain. The world was still gentle then. The river valley shimmered in summer heat. Helen laughed in the wind. Amelia ran circles around the ridge, asking questions faster than Levi could answer. Henry watched quietly, already seeing the shape of what HighKeep would become.

With a fortune he never expected to win and instincts he couldnt ignore, Levi chose to build something permanent — stone, steel, timber, and hope. A place meant to outlast storms no one yet saw coming. A place for his family. A place for the future.

The Fall and the Founding follows the birth of HighKeep from its first quarried block to the rising walls that would one day shelter survivors. It is the story of Levis vision, Henrys precision, Helens faith, and Amelias wonder, the tragedy of Amelia"s disappearance, and Jakes wondrous arrival during those dark early days. A story of creation set against the quiet ticking of a world about to change forever.

This is where the legend begins. This is how HighKeep was born. And this is the last moment of peace before everything changes forever. A New dystopian post-apocalyptic science fiction full length novel by R Dee Jackson.
