Severed

Severed is the third book in the complete, four-book Sold as Weeds series: a cozy LitRPG about an underestimated healer, an increasingly opinionated garden, and a mystery that has been sitting quietly in the record books for far too long.

Yarrow Fens shop is finally paying its own way, and the six bonded plants who run it with her, loudly, have settled into something like family. Then Lady Prentiss walks in with a single word: Halloway. A property Chief Healer Thorne owned privately for thirty years, kept off every guild register, and never once mentioned.

Comfrey knows the name. She has no idea how. It arrived the way a smell arrives, before she decided to remember it, and Verdict has never before told Yarrow that a memory did not come from where it should have.

Officially, nobody owns Halloway anymore. Officially, nobody can give Yarrow leave to go there, and nobody can stop her either. What waits behind its walls is a garden nobody has tended in twelve years: plant after plant, each one still quietly holding a bond to a woman who is nowhere to be found.

The deeper Yarrow digs, the less accidental any of it looks, and the longer somebody has clearly been doing this on purpose. A compliance officer who is supposed to be keeping half an eye on her, a very patient grandmother, and a garden that will not let the question drop all come along for a case that reaches back further than anyone in Fenlow Green wants it to.
