So Big, So Small
C. H. STARLIGHT
Sinopsis
The sky is big. The nook is small. Just right.
Hettie the ladybug loves the gold sky beside her friend Angel One, a big red helicopter parked and still on the rooftop. One, two, three… seven spots. Just right.
But as the sky turns rose, then lilac, then plum, then navy, it feels too big. Tip-tip, scoot — onto the long red rail, up the little step, onto the round red door, up onto the warm red nose. Between two rivet bumps, Hettie finds a tiny, round, safe nook — just her size. Seven stars come out, like seven spots. Wings fold. Good night.
So Big, So Small is a gentle bedtime picture book about feeling small under a big sky, and finding a cozy place that fits. Soft watercolor washes darken page by page, so the story itself helps little ones wind down.
A quiet climb toddlers can feel in their bodies A "just right" refrain that lands at lights-out Soft watercolor day-to-dusk art with a parked helicopter friend Seven spots mirrored by seven starsFor ages 2 to 4.
