How do I get myself into these situations?

I could blame my current predicament on the debt my boss racked up, buying innocent girls at an underground auction and helping them get home. It wasnt my intention to put myself on that stage in place of the girl my boss was trying to save, but here I am. Sold for two weeks to a green-eyed stranger.

Its a first for both of us, being the buyer and the sold. Neither of us knows what to do next.

When I discover he needs a personal secretary, I jump at the opportunity to help. Itll keep me busy so Im not cooped up in his massive house all by myself. Itll also give me time to figure out why my body practically hums when hes near, even if he doesnt appear to want any form of a relationship with a woman. Ill have to fight the growing lust so that I can leave him when the contract is over without any emotional damage on my end.

How did this happen?

I had to have had a lapse in sanity. The moment a potential investor in my company brought me to an underground auction, I should have turned around and walked right back out the door. Except, a beautiful hazel-eyed woman caught my eye. She shouldnt have. Ive sworn off women after my last relationship ended with her betrayal. Yet here I am, buying her off a stage that she doesnt belong on.

For two long weeks, Ill have the woman I bought in my personal space.

Not wanting to leave her alone in my home, I brought her into the office. She can stay busy completing tasks my personal secretary would do, if I had one, while I focused on anything but her. Theres something about this woman. She makes my heart skip a beat when she smiles, and jealousy boils within when other men give her too much attention. I need to stay focused on the fact that neither of us wanted to be in each others orbit and that when the time is up, well be walking away from each other, even if my heart is betraying my head.
