The tango killings
Laura Badia, forensic detective in Patagonia
Sinopsis
You can always count on Murphys Law. Deep into her third trimester, the very pregnant forensic expert Laura Badía is faced with the most brutal case of her career.
Bodies are turning up in far-flung places, each bearing the same signature markings: a bullet implanted near the victims heart and a chip cut from a vinyl record hidden under an eyelid.
Laura first came across this criminal signature a year ago in a morgue in Tierra del Fuego. There has been no trace of the killer since.
Until today.
An identical crime in the mountains of Andorra has reignited the investigation. But Laura and Inspector Enric Sallent are not the only ones on the killers trail.
One of the worlds most wanted fugitives reaches out from her hiding place to let Laura know there are more victims — and that the murders follow a pattern linked to tango, a pattern that only she understands.
In exchange for her information, she demands that Laura cross a dangerous line. Laura went there once, and it almost destroyed her. She swore shed never do it again.
Following the success of The Glacier Murders, Cristian Perfumo returns with The Tango Killings, a thriller that binds Patagonia and the Pyrenees together in a gripping tale of secrets, music, and death.
In the twenty-first century, tango is more alive than ever…
…and its leaving a trail of bodies in its wake.
