The Turning

Avoid sunlight. Drink Blood. Hate yourself. Forever. Welcome to immortality.

From the moment a presumed-dead John Doe sank his fangs into my neck, Ive been living on borrowed time. The Voluntary Vampire Extinction Movement demands fealty from all newly-created vampires, and theyve got a moody, mysterious assassin whos more than willing to drive a stake through my heart if I dont join them.

But Im bound to my sire by a seductive, primal bond, and hes one of the Movements most wanted vampires. With him, I can live in opulence and indulge the darkest, most depraved desires of my vampire nature. An eternity at his side, wielding the power of vampire nobility, is a temptation that comes with an impossible price: my dedication to human life.

I just wanted to be a trauma surgeon. Instead, Im a pawn in a war between two vampire factions--and a century-old feud between two very different killers. With my heart and soul on the line, I have to choose between protecting humanity, or abandoning my own.
