In a Linux cluster, multiple computers are able to work together as a team by sharing a local area network. This guide for cluster administrators covers issues ranging from initial hardware and software choices through long-term considerations such as performance. The focus is on clustering for high performance computation, although much of the information presented also applies to clustering for high-availability (failover and disaster recovery).
