MARGARETTOWN

MARGARETTOWN is the story of the many worlds of one woman, Margaret Mary Towne - girl, woman, lover, wife, mother, memory. From the moment two young lovers set off to meet Maggie''s unusual family home in Margarettown, New York, it is obvious that nothing in Margaret''s world is quite like anywhere else. They start with a wedding made in heaven. During a marriage that is not always so blissful, and through the early years of their little girl''s life, through bad times and wonderful times, the secrets of Margarettown gradually reveal themselves. Told partly as a letter, partly as a fable, partly as a memoir by the man who loves her, this is a story that will move you, amuse you, startle you and remain in your memory forever.
