Mortonson is a graduate of Northwestern University with a degree in engineering and McCormick Theological Seminary where he earned the Master if Divinity degree. Over a period of 40 years he served three Presbyterian churches in Illinois. Dr. Mortonson is the author of The Advent Instructor, The Lent Instructor, and That Seeing, They May Believe.
