Antje Rávik Strubel nació en Postdam en 1974 y creció en una ciudad industrial de Alemania del Este. Pertenece al grupo de autores alemanes post-muro. Eso la convierte en testigo de una época todavía por revisar. Ha publicado numerosas novelas y artículos, además de traducciones de grandes autores. La crítica alemana ha resaltado su virtuosismo, su poética, la precisión de su prosa y un inteligente humor lacónico. En 2021 su novela Mujer azul ganó el Premio Alemán del libro.
