Et apres six morts, Mickey7 a bien compris pourquoi son poste restait le seul disponible de lexpedition quand il la accepte...Et puis, au cours dune mission de routine, Mickey7 est porte disparu et presume mort. Le temps quil regagne la base de la colonie, etonnamment aide par une forme de vie locale, il est trop tard : un nouveau clone, Mickey8, occupe deja son poste.
