SUNDAY AT 7:13
Sinopsis
Sunday at 7:13 is an emotional contemporary novel about grief, family secrets, second chances, and the unexpected ways love can return.
For thirty-seven years, Ruth Mayfield received a phone call from her husband every Sunday at exactly 7:13 p.m. After his death, she begins calling his old number just to feel close to him again.
Then one Sunday, someone answers.
His name is Daniel Amani, a widowed Chicago bus driver still carrying the grief of losing his wife, Miriam, and struggling with an increasingly distant relationship with his daughter, Nina.
What begins as an accidental conversation between two strangers slowly becomes a weekly ritual. Ruth and Daniel talk about the things they cannot say to the people who know them best: regret, loneliness, marriage, guilt, and the words they wish they could take back.
But both of their pasts still have secrets to reveal.
A blue suitcase left behind by Miriam forces Daniel to confront the truth about his marriage and Ninas parentage. Ruth discovers that the betrayal she believed destroyed the final days of her marriage was not what it seemed. As old letters, hidden truths and unresolved family wounds come to light, both must decide whether loving again dishonours the people they lost—or honours the life they still have.
Set against the streets and waterfront of Chicago and Lake Michigan, Sunday at 7:13 is a warm, bittersweet story about mature love, parenthood, forgiveness and the courage to begin again.
Sometimes the wrong number reaches exactly the right person.
