Falling On The Bright Side

Larry Whitton is a depressed social worker, trapped in a miserable job at a nursing home and failing as a husband and father. His life is defined by childhood trauma: his brother drowned, and his father abandoned the family.

His breaking point comes when his cruel boss denies him a promotion and his wife, Julie, leaves with their son, giving him an ultimatum to change. Simultaneously, a chaotic opportunity arises: to take over the counseling practice of Dr. Bill Foster, a therapist who has suffered a massive stroke.

Guided by Philip, an enigmatic client who can mysteriously communicate with the incapacitated Bill, Larry forms an unorthodox therapy team. As he struggles to care for Fosters vulnerable clients, he is forced to confront his own demons. This journey compels him to finally reach out to his estranged father and fight for his family, transforming him from a man running from his past into one capable of building a future.
