SIR PATRICK LEIGH FERMOR (Londres, 1915 – Worcestershire, 2011) fue, entre otras muchas cosas, un viajero impenitente y un memorable escritor de libros de viajes. Su periplo juvenil por Europa desde Holanda hasta Constantinopla en 1933 dio lugar a dos obras maestras: El tiempo de los regalos y Entre los bosques y el agua, ambos publicados por RBA, que culminan en su libro póstumo El último tramo.
