A struggling songwriter lets a washed-up country star take credit for her song to revive his career in this full-hearted romance from the author of Make Me a Mixtape.

Sunny June has two choices: spend yet another birthday as a failed songwriter or let country music pretty-boy Charlie King buy her latest song and tell the world he wrote it. Desperate for money and to get her foot in the door of the music industry, Sunny agrees to the deal. But when the song is an unexpected hit, Charlie comes knocking again, begging her to join his cross-country tour and write more songs for him. Theres just one catch: No one can know why shes there. Shell have to spend the tour pretending to be his new girlfriend without anyone realizing shes the genius behind the hits. That means cheering him on backstage, sharing his tour bus, and piling on the PDA to sell the ruse.

As the tour goes on, Sunny realizes that Charlie isnt the vapid country bro she assumed he was, and by the time they get to Nashville she isnt so sure she wants their relationship to be fake anymore. And it definitely seems like Charlie feels the same way.
