RAMCAP stands for Risk Analysis and Management for CriticalAsset Protection. This publication provides an understanding ofthe RAMCAP PlusSM process as applied to a broad array of criticalinfrastructures, ranging from industrial facilities (e.g., water systems)to college campuses. The approach includes protection(avoiding hazardous events or their consequences), andresilience (rapid return to full function after those events thatoccur). By using common definitions, threats, metrics and methodsto directly compare risk, resilience, and risk managementbenefits, decision-makers can better allocate limited resources&mdash,whether to individual assets and facilities or whole industries andsectors of the economy.
