CATALANS. RETRATS

The photographer Antoni Bernad published his book of portraits, Catalans, in 1984.It is now being re-published, 30 years later, and with new photographs. This volume offers a summary of a time and a country. It's like a family photo album, but with a more historical slant and much greater sophistication in taste. When it comes to the human body, say the philosophers, it is the face that allows us to recognise ourselves in others and there are faces of every kind in this book.
