Sinopsis
An evocative, vivid and vibrant look at British history, this book uses Robert Opie''s collection of ephemera to give us a glimpse of a bygone age.
The Edwardian Scrapbook conjures up a remarkable insight into British life a hundred years ago. This was the era that saw Teddy Bears and Peter Rabbit, Meccano and Plastercine, Ping-Pong and Diabolo. The innovative picture postcard caught the mood of the moment, from the saucy seaside scene to the humour of motoring and the birth of aviation. Brimful with imagery and packed with information, each book profusely illustrates a unique period in history. Hundreds of images from Robert''s unrivalled personal collection.
