Cette monographie porte sur l',é,tude d',un é,tablissement portuaire (Bey-144), qui a fait l',objet d',une fouille de sauvetage à, Beyrouth en 2003. Elle comprend un essai d',interpré,tation des vestiges architecturaux et stratigraphiques du site ainsi qu',une é,tude du maté,riel cé,ramique qui en provient, dans une fourchette chronologique qui s',é,tend de la fin de la pé,riode perse/ dé,but de l',é,poque hellé,nistique à, l',arrivé,e des Romains dans la ré,gion. L',inté,rê,t de ce travail ré,side dans son apport à, l',histoire et à, l',arché,ologie de Beyrouth et dans les perspectives de recherches qu',il permet de livrer aujourd',hui sur plusieurs aspects politiques, é,conomiques et socio-culturels de la cité, et sur sa place dans les ré,seaux levantins et mé,diterrané,ens.This monograph investigates Bey-144, a site located in the harbour area of Beirut that underwent a rescue excavation in 2003. It includes a study of its architectural remains and its stratigraphy, as well as a comprehensive catalogue of the ceramic assemblage that came from the site, with a chronological range that extends from the end of the Persian/beginning of the Hellenistic period until the rise of the Roman era. The interest of this work resides in its contribution to the archaeology and the history of Beirut, and in the research perspectives it yields on several political, economic and socio-cultural aspects of the city and its place in the Levantine and Mediterranean networks._,
