This one sits by the Ottawa River, this one’s called Mechanicsville.A place where you hear French and English coming out of kitchen windows on hot summer nights. Where you',d see labourers with dangling cigarettes laughing over a dirty joke down by the railway yards, the lumber mills, the foundries. Before bed, the kids get hugged by bloody knuckled papas, and tucked in by mamas thankful that the cheque didn',t get cashed at the tavern.
