Pascal Mercier (Berna, 1944) profesor de filosofía del lenguaje en Berlín, es uno de los escritores suizos que ha ocupado un lugar destacado en la crítica durante los últimos años, sobre todo por su novela «Tren nocturno a Lisboa». De esta novela se han vendido más de un millón de ejemplares y ha sido traducida a 10 idiomas. Autor de largo recorrido. Es uno de los autores en lengua alemana más sólidos de los últimos años.
