Daily brutality is a way of life for Taylor Mase who lives on a country estate with his father, Tom, the gamekeeper. Reg Harris, the land owner, requires Tom to kill animals of prey to keep the pheasant population large enough for the hunting season. While hunting one day, nature-loving Taylor finds a rare Red Kite egg and decides to rear it in secret.
