Louise Erdrich (Little Falls, Minnesota, 1954), novelista, poeta y escritora de libros para niños, desciende de la tribu india ojibwe y es nieta de un ex dirigente de la reserva Turtle Mountain Band of Chippewa, en Dakota del Norte, de la que sigue siendo miembro activo y en cuyas proximidades creció. Vive en Minneapolis, Minnesota, donde es propietaria de la librería independiente Birchbark Books.Su obra ha sido galardonada con numerosos premios literarios. Ver ficha del autor
