Colombe Schneck nació en París en 1966, en el seno de una familia judía marcada por los traumas del siglo XX. Es escritora, periodista y documentalista, con una larga trayectoria salpicada de importantes premios, en la que destacan obras como L'Increvable Monsieur Schneck (2006, Premio Murat), Sa petite chérie (2007), Val de Grâce (2008, Grand Prix de l'Héroïne Madame Figaro), Une femme célèbre (2010, Premio Anna de Noailles de la Academia Francesa), La Réparation (2012, Premio Thyde Monnier), Mai 67 (2014, Premio Messardière), Soeurs de miséricorde (2015), Les Guerres de mon père (2018, Premio Marcel Pagnol), o Mensonges au paradis (2023). La trilogía de París (Lumen, 2024), de próxima publicación en al menos siete países, reúne las tres icónicas novelas cortas Diecisiete años (2015), Dos pequeñas burguesas (2021) y La ternura del crol (2019), y supone el salto internacional definitivo de su autora, llamada a convertirse en un clásico de nuestros días.
