Using digitally restored page images from the original publications, first published in 1902 and 1923, the lives of a respected American Civil War nurse and beloved silent screen idol Wallace Reid are revisited in this biographical collection. Susie King Taylor and Bertha Westbrook Reid create a warm portrait about two notable individuals who changed society in vastly different ways through tragedy and an awareness of the destructive powers of drug abuse. Also included in this edition is additional biographical information of little known historical facts following the deaths of King in 1912 and Reid in 1923 that haven’t been published previously.
