Value stream mapping is an excellent method to give an overview to a company's management about its production, icluding processes, materail flow an information flow. This book gives detailed instructions how to use value stream mapping to analyse and optimize production in the right way, even in difficult cases. It is the first book, which describes the core method of lean production (=value stream mapping) in a very systematic way, not only like a picture book (=description too easy, real cases can't be solved) or a rough description of general procedure and goals. This systematic way gives nine guidelines which prescribe exactly how to transform production to lean principles.
