DANIEL J. LEVITIN (San Francisco, 1957) es neurocientífico y músico, actualmente director del Laboratorio de Percepción, Conocimiento y Dominio de la Música de la Universidad McGill. Ha sido profesor universitario, productor discográfico y músico profesional. Ha colaborado con artistas como Stevie Wonder, Grateful Dead, Blue Öyster Cult o Joe Satriani. Ha escrito para revistas científicas (Science, Neuron) y musicales (Grammy, Billboard), y es autor del aclamado El cerebro y la música (2006), también publicado por RBA.
