February 15, 1932Shipments during the first three weeks of January showed a further decline of about 20 per cent for all grains and about 27 per cent in the case of wheat as compared with December shipments, mrw,christy states. Total grain exports during this period, however, were slightly above those of the corresponding period of last year. Grain shipments for the 6 months ended December 31, 1931 amounted to metric tons compared with.3,002,000 metric tons shipped during the same tize the previous year, or a decrease of per cent. In absolute figures, the decline was reported largest in the case of barley where cxports were metri0*tons or per cent below those of a year earlier.
