As the realm dissolves into chaos following the death of the Viking king, Liv finds herself at a crossroads. Crowns attract all sorts of things, and rarely do they come with good intentions. There are secrets buried in the jungle beyond anything she could imagine, blades dipped in shadow and curses whispered in the dark.

Two futures lie ahead of her. But only one of them ends with her breathing. The land is desperate for a good and rightful king, and a single girl stands in between.
