Ashes of Britannia

Britannia is dying.

For centuries, Rome ruled the island. Its roads crossed the countryside, its soldiers guarded its borders, and its cities stood as symbols of a civilization that seemed destined to last forever.

Then Rome leaves.

The legions march away, and Britannia is left divided, frightened and vulnerable.

From across the sea come new enemies—Saxons, Angles and Jutes—settling where Roman soldiers once stood. British kings struggle to unite while villages burn and ancient cities fall.

Through the eyes of a young boy, we witness the final days of the world his ancestors knew.

He sees warriors gather beneath the banners of British commanders, including the legendary Arthur, as they make one desperate attempt to hold back the darkness. But victory on the battlefield cannot restore what has already been lost.

As Roman roads crumble, villas are abandoned, churches are desecrated and families are scattered, a new England begins to emerge from the ashes of Britannia.

This is not simply the story of an invasion.

It is the story of a civilisation disappearing—and of a people fighting to remember who they were.
