Hooked on Trouble

Troubled waters hide a mystery, and depth hides a story.

Fishing on Lake Michigan hooks deadly danger…

Wilhelm Nelson has everything—status, money, and a high-powered career as a big-city defense attorney. The one thing he doesnt want? A forced return to his small-town roots to care for aging parents hes been running from for years.

Charter fishing captain Cici Samuelson never forgot Wilhelm—her teenage crush, or the boy who once belonged here. But the man who returns is polished, impatient, and acting like family is an obligation instead of the blessing shes always believed it to be.

A disastrous fishing tournament changes everything for Cici. When four clients cheat to win and point the blame at Cici, her hard-earned reputation is destroyed overnight. With the town turning against her, Wilhelm steps in, using his legal expertise and investigative instincts to uncover the truth.

When a lost bag of drugs tied to a ruthless cartel surfaces in the lake and winds up in their hands, Cici and Wilhelm find themselves caught in a deadly game neither of them expected. Clearing Cicis name is only the beginning. Now they must stay one step ahead of criminals who want the drugs and will do anything to get them back.

Running from the cartel might be easier than facing the growing attraction between them because falling for each other could change everything… if they survive long enough to try.
