There are two ways to use your imagination. You can idly dream about the way you wish your life would be, or you can master the art of making what you imagine become real.

When you use your imagination as a creative, directed force, rather than an idle will-o-the-wisp escape valve that you never intend to act upon, you harness a power that can create a life you are proud to live.

Nothing desirable ever happens in life unless it is first imagined. Imagine how your life would be if it were to be exactly as you would love it to be. Pause for a moment and think: What would you be doing? Why would you be doing that? When would it be? How are you feeling as you enjoy that life? Where would you be? Who would you be with? You see, you can imagine how youd love your life to be.

To actually live the life you just imagined, you have to be the actor who makes it happen. Making dreams come true is simply about holding the image of what you want and then following a process that makes you into the person who can achieve it. You could say its about crossing the gap caused by your doubt that you can.

In this book, I explain how I used my imagination and my conviction that a better life was available to me to quit a well-paid job that frustrated and confined me to break free and become an independent performance coach who worked all over the world.
