Sinopsis
A human being who has suffered child abuse and survived is exceptionally strong. Most of us dont even know how much we have overcome to get to where we are now. We have been trodden on and punched repeatedly deep into the "mud plains of trauma and abuse" and trying to get back out into the sunshine. Which way is up? Where is the sunshine? How do I get there? Some of us know that we are strong but cannot believe it. As a survivor of trauma and abuse, I am in this category. I know how much it took to get away from my abusive childhood and start a new life but I still cannot see myself as strong and brave. Ive been reminded lots of time of my bravery and strength to have made it alone in a complex world but I dont feel brave. For me it was just a way to survive.
