Satin and Saltwater
Sinopsis
Headline: A gilded cage in Berlin. A dangerous freedom by the sea.
In the frozen halls of Berlin, Li Mei Xian is a masterpiece of restraint. At five-foot-one, she is a porcelain doll—quiet, brilliant, and perfectly managed by the obsessive Chen Haotian. To her family in Shanghai, she is an investment. To Chen, she is a possession. She hides her rebellion in the bottom of her suitcase: micro-bikinis and silk dresses meant for a sun she has never been allowed to feel.
Everything changes when a month-long research trip takes her to the raw, sun-drenched coast of Western Europe.
Away from the gray skies of Berlin, Mei Xian sheds her woolen coats and her inhibitions. She meets Kai Morgen—a local guardian standing six feet tall, with a body carved by the ocean and eyes like a storm at sea. Kai is everything Mei Xian was taught to avoid: stoic, rugged, and dangerously silent. He doesnt offer the polished safety of her past; he offers the primal heat of the present.
But as Mei Xian finds her voice in Kais arms, the cage she left behind begins to close in. Chen Haotian is not ready to let his prize slip away, and his protection is turning into something far more sinister.
In a battle between high-society obsession and coastal passion, Mei Xian must decide: Will she remain a fragile ornament, or will she brave the crashing waves to find her own anchor?
