For twelve-year-old Zane, life has always been easier to understand when it comes to machines. Gears, circuits, and engines follow rules. When something breaks, it can be repaired. When something fails, it can be redesigned. But not everything in life works that way. Especially family.

Zanes grandmother was a brilliant engineer and inventor who spent much of her life working in the remote mountains of Colombia. Before disappearing, she left behind a single object—a massive mechanical trunk known only as the E.V. Box.

THE AWAKENING

For years the Box remained locked. Silent. Immovable. No one knew what was inside it until the day it woke up. Late one evening, the Box begins to vibrate with a slow rhythmic pulse that feels almost alive. It responds to sound, pressure, and even movements beneath the ground.

What Zane discovers changes everything: The Box isnt just a container. Its a key.

THE JOURNEY

Following a mysterious signal, Zane travels to the Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta, where dense jungles and mist-covered cloud forests hide centuries of secrets. According to local legends, the mountains possess a "heartbeat"—a natural rhythm tied to the balance of the planet.

At first, Zane dismisses these ideas as myths. Then the E.V. Box begins reacting to the mountains, and the myths start to look a lot more like science.

THE TEAM

While exploring, Zane meets two unexpected allies:

Valeria: A local girl deeply connected to the mountain communities who senses patterns in nature that others overlook. Mateo: A resourceful survivor of the city streets who knows how to navigate danger when situations spiral out of control.

Together, they uncover an ancient technological system buried beneath the peaks: The Inheritance Engine. Built thousands of years ago, the Engine appears to be part of a massive global network connected to tectonic forces and geothermal energy.

But they arent the only ones looking for it. A secretive organization known as The Agency, led by the calculating Reid, wants to weaponize the Engine to manipulate the very forces that shape the planet.

Now Zane, Valeria, and Mateo must race through jungle ruins and hidden tunnels to uncover the truth before the Agency can seize control. What began as a family mystery has become a race to protect the future of the planet.
