Cassie and her best friend and business partner are about to realize their culinary dreams when a murder on their new businesss doorstep and a rogue Fae mob threaten everything theyve both worked so hard for over the past year.

As a midlife witch new to the supernatural world, Cassie is still learning—and sometimes failing—but even she can see that other newbies like herself have it worse. When Flora discovers one of the rogue Fae dead behind their bakery and another begins harassing her, she uses her Fire magic to protect herself, and things really heat up.

In between getting the business up and running and the community center open, Cassie must investigate things before her SBI Chief soon-to-be-ex-boyfriend locks up her BFF for a murder she didnt commit. Cassies quirky team of investigators includes a trio of felonious and furry magical Familiars, a snarky undercover mouse, and her ghostly Greenwood gramma, who has a few tricks up her translucent sleeve.

With all those plates in the air, one is bound to fall. If Cassie is lucky, her juggling act wont cost her life.
