The Starving Bear

The second part of the long and cold story that is The Killing Hawk Saga.

With the loss of their father, the Jarl, a brother and a sister struggle with the politics of their town only to learn someone else wants to lay claim. With limited allies and atrocities scorched in the surrounding lands, they must look to outsiders and family ties for aid.

Birger and Mirja find aid in their oldest friend, Leif a humorous renegade with a ship full of rowdy fighters and hustlers. With the sacking of nearby towns and the threat of the feared Jarl Vale laying his claim to Logrfyrir, the siblings plan to gather allies in the form of blood kin, their aunt, the queen of Torvessiten, while taking in refugees and fighters from the burning lands.

A war is on the horizon, one of honour and greed, a fine line to tread. While Vale seeks to use his many oaths and favours from allies, the odds seem to stack against the once peaceful town of Logrfyrir and its young and inexperienced Jarl. Yet hope shines through in the form of his sibling.

With many returning faces, a new chapter dawns on Logrfyrir.
