What If Everything Is Wrong?

Im not a writer. I never planned to write a book. This started as a question I couldnt stop asking, one that turned into another, and then another, and before I knew it I was awake at 2am reading about a religion Id never heard of that had somehow shaped everything I thought I knew.

This book is what came out of that. Its the story of one ordinary persons attempt to understand why everything feels slightly wrong, and the pattern he found running through every institution he looked at. Finance, education, healthcare, justice, energy, welfare, media, science, religion. Every single one built on a reasonable idea that got captured, distorted, and turned into something that serves itself instead of the people it was supposed to serve.

Underneath all of it, the same signal keeps coming back. Be good. Be honest. Help others. Think for yourself. Every major tradition in history has said the same thing in different words, from ancient Egypt to Zoroaster to the Axial Age to Jesus to the Gnostics to Rumi to Tolstoy to Gandhi to Martin Luther King. And every single time, the institutions came for the messenger.

This is not an academic book. Its a conversation. Its written in plain language by someone with no qualifications except the fact that he kept asking questions long after most people would have stopped. It covers the Opium Wars and the Uyghur camps, quantum physics and the Gospel of Thomas, the 2008 financial crash and the kingdom of God. It asks the question buried in the title. What if were wrong about everything?
