AROUND THE WORLD IN EIGHTY DISHES

This ,cookbook ,is different to most. Whilst some of the dishes will be familiar to you, many will not. Wherever possible, I ,sought to bring something different to these pages. The other way in which this book differs is that I am not a professional chef, but an aircraft engineer and author. ,In 1873, Phileas Fogg wagered twenty-thousand pounds that he could circumnavigate the world in just eighty days. Of course, Phileas Fogg was a fictitious character created by the French author, Jules Verne, but our journey is real. Inspired by the book, Around the World in Eighty Days, I sought out stunning starters, mighty main courses and delightful desserts from all over the globe.Maybe you think some of these dishes will be beyond your abilities, I think not. I prepared, cooked and photographed every dish in this book. There are no glossy, unattainable results here.
