FAR SOUTH

This is a groundbreaking experiment in multi-media storytelling. "Far South" is the casebook of Juan Manuel Perez, an investigator in search of Gerardo Fischer, a Uruguayan theatre director who has gone missing. Called in by the community of artists with whom Gerardo lived, Perez quickly becomes enmeshed in the mystery. In searching for another, whether we want to or not, we often uncover knowledge of ourselves. Perez discovers he is no exception...A multi-platform experiment in the possibilities of digitised fiction as well as a compelling work on paper, "Far South" includes video witness depositions, a graphic novella, short films and sound recordings. The Far South Project brings together the work of artists, designers, musicians and filmmakers from Uruguay, Wales, Argentina, Ireland, all over the world. They blur the line between truth and misinformation. They hope that the project will make you question everything you see in newspapers, on television, or in the world around you.
