THE CAY

Philip and Timothy were on a small Dutch ship in the Caribbean Sea during the Second World War. A German boat attacked and sank their boat and they escaped in a lifeboat. After floating in the sea for two or three days, during which time Philip goes blind, they arrive at the 'cay', an island, where they must wait for help ... The Cay is a children's classic written by Theodore Taylor, an American who writes books for young people and also makes films.
