THE KOKURAN

Astrid, a naïve teenage girl, marries Philip, her prince charming who loves and praises her yet later abuses and tries to break her. However, fate then steps in and reveals the lie that gives her strength and the wings to fly, ultimately freeing her from the grip of despair from a marriage steep in ill repair. In the aftermath of her tumultuous marriage and the divorce that follows, Astrid is left unsure of her identity and confused about relationships and her own sexuality. Their relationship is fiery, passionate, sexually explosive and all-encompassing of everything she desires in a man but then it unravels and implodes, leaving her in a deep, dark emotional abyss.
