In the late 1960s-a chaotic time of war protests and racial tension- Savannah Donovan and her family move to Fisherville, Tennessee. Within her alley house, she feels out of place. Eventually, she becomes disillusioned by betrayal, grief, hardships, and prejudices. Despite the Vivaldis kindness and godly love, unresolved bitterness and sorrow in Savannahs heart sends her on a darker path than shes ever known.
