My life is finally only my own, now that my siblings are grown up. Naturally, my car breaks down only miles from my destination of Nordquist. I know better than to trust any man that stops to help, but something about Maverick is different. And his offer of a job I can actually do is too good to resist. Because truthfully, I was scared about being homeless in a strange town.

Mav is a good guy, its only through his brothers that I learn he has stronger feelings for me but is too much of a gentleman to tell me. It almost seems too good to be true, but thats worth running to not away, right?

I cant help feeling protective of Summer. Sure, I want to keep her, but not at the price of her happiness. Ranch life isnt for everyone. Heck, my horse is my best friend. But he likes Summer, and she seems happy so… now I just have to convince her that shes perfect, not simply convenient. The day I saw her by the side of the road was the luckiest day of my life.
