All the Feels

Deepa focuses on a new medical mystery in a classmate to distract herself from her changing relationships in this heartwarming and funny sequel to Deepa, M.D. that’sFront DeskmeetsRoll with It.

Everything was going great for Deepa. Her cancer was in remission, her parents had finally stopped treating her like a sick kid, and she and her BFF Renée were tighter than ever.

So, who knew an award at school would blow everything up? Now, she’s in detention, her new bestie Manu is mad at her, and former bully Lola is working overtime to put the “enemy” in “frenemy.” On top of it all, Valentine’s Day has made everyone around Deepa to go gaga—blech—and even her Uncle Jai is all googly-eyed and in love. Double blech.

Deepa needs a win. That’s when she meets Beast, a mysterious eighth grader afflicted with an even more mysterious illness. He’d rather Deepa stay out of his business, but she just can’t resist the case. Throw in an out-of-control autonomous car, a prickly private investigator partner, and a whole lot of unresolved feelings, however, and the whole investigation heads into a tailspin. If Deepa can’t fix the mess she’s made, she could lose a bestie—and Beast could lose his life.
